liveSTORYBOARD CMS Requirements

What are the liveSTORYBOARD CMS requirements?

liveSTORYBOARD CMS is hosted, so there are no server requirements whatsoever.

To use liveSTORYBOARD CMS you will need the following client requirements:

  • A Windows 2000/NT/XP/Vista operating system

  • Internet Explorer 6Open this external link in a new window+ browser

  • The latest MSXML4 ActiveXOpen this external link in a new window control from Microsoft.com

  • JavaScript turned on in your browser

  • Popups allowed for http://v5.livestoryboard.com, especially for Windows XP Service Pack 2 users

What about Mac support or other browsers?

A very fair question. Unfortunately, the answer is not the one we would like to have! As much as we would love to be able to offer Mac and other browser versions, liveSTORYBOARD CMS only supports the Windows operating system at this time at authoring time [your site will work on all browsers and operating systems, of course].

Why has a company that advocate and facilitate non-proprietary web solutions chosen to support only one browser and one operating system? We had no choice - no other combination currently allows us to build liveSTORYBOARD CMS and bring you the same content management power and ease of use. The technical reasons are numerous, but most importantly - we had make the choice to build the best product technically possible for our subscribers over cross-platform/cross-browser support.

We are certainly not happy with this fact of life, and are constantly looking for ways to add other OS and browser support for liveSTORYBOARD authoring. We are actively petitioning to standards organizations and browser development companies for the features that we would need and we are not alone!

Would you like to be notified when we start offering additional platform and browser support? Contact us and we would be happy to let you know when things change.
